Zombie BBQ is where I head to on lazy Saturdays or Sundays. It’s ideal in terms of location and once you’re there it offers plenty of seating, a small pool with a volleyball-net and a restaurant and bar. For those looking for pure easiness, it really doesn’t get much easier. Live music starts about 5pm on the weekend and, coincidentally, so does Happy Hour. Expect ice-cold margaritas frosted with salt or refreshing mojito’s to cool you down.
Their menu is strictly BBQ and you can see everything sizzling in front of you, giving it that real outdoor ambiance. The owners are extremely accommodating and go out of their way to ensure you’re well looked after. They provide you with towels for the pool as you lull back onto one of their big beanbags.
Zombie BBQ recognizes special occasions in the calendar and won’t let them go unnoticed. Be it 4th July or a Christmas themed pool party, they are never one to go under the radar when it’s cause for celebration.
Perhaps Zombie BBQ is more suited to guys and girls 20s and 30s and not quite as kid-friendly as some of the other eateries in Thao Dien. Unlike Snap Cafe, it’s the adults that have a blast at Zombie BBQ, worrying about nothing else but having a relaxing time beside the pool with some of the best barbequed ribs in town.
If you’re wanting an easy Sunday morning head down, get in the sun and order a drink. You’re guaranteed to spend the rest of the day there!
