It’s that time of year again – time to whip out your bathers, find your sunhat, make an iTunes list and relax by the pool.
To escape the Aussie heat, any place to take a dip is nice, but pools that sit near the sea, have city skyline views or are large enough to fit a resort full of people are definitely more tempting.
Here’s our pick of the 10 most luxurious and envy-worthy pools currently on the market that will make you want to dive straight into summer.
1. Pool Paradise
Located in a mansion in one of Australia’s most loved holiday destinations, Hamilton Island, this is the very definition of pool paradise.
This half-indoor, half-outdoor pool has access from all points of the home and is a huge focal point of the house.
It’s not often that the pool is in the same room as the kitchen, but this house defies all the norms and we’re definitely a fan of their rule-breaking ways.
As if this pool isn’t incredible enough already, there’s also a second one that sits inside with an ocean view window.
2. Surfers skyline
Sitting on the main river in Surfers Paradise this beautiful pool has views of both the water and the city skyline.
The beach is also just a 10 minute walk away, but with this pool, there may not be much of a need to leave the house.
There’s also plenty of outdoor space around it for entertaining.
3. Classical in Cairns
Now this is one grand place to swim.
This extravagant pool is finished with Versace style mosaic tiles and is an indulgent 17 metres in length.
Matching in with the classical ancient Greek looking mansion behind it, it’s surrounded by statues.
The view from the pool is also beautiful, looking out onto stunning mountain views.
4. Pool party pad
Located in a grand house in sunny Queensland, this massive 19 metre pool is what pool party dreams are made of.
This huge pool is surrounded by a large sandstone patio to fit plenty of guests and has lighting, making it perfect for a night time splash.
5. Swimming in serenity
Located in the surf town of Noosa, this tranquil pool is surrounded by nature and would be the perfect place to unwind.

This mansion is located in the Sovereign Islands, Queensland, with views out onto the ocean.
